Skiing in the back yard

This season hasn't been too good. It was about 15° Celsius in the alpine - plus, not minus. There was an inversion so it was warm on top of the mountain and cold in the city. We went to Seymour Mountain with snowshoes and skis to have some fun. Quite nice to have this only 15 min. away from our place.

The team: Seppel, Victor, Arndt and Caro (and Kerstin :-) taking the picture)

Can you see the clouds down in the valley, that is the inversion.

Those are the towers of Vancouver downtown, looks like a movie from Hollywood.

Kerstin going up the track. It was busy - well a nice day!

The view towards Mt. Baker.

It was warm!

We found that booter, well, I kind of knew it since I came across this thing last when I was night touring. It looks pretty big and I thought it is too big for me so I didn't want to give it a go.

Well, it didn't take long and I changed my mind and hit it the fist time.

Second time, looks already a bit better.

Getting there ...

So it took about 3 jumps to get it in, looks pretty good now. I must say I never thought that I could do it, I thought I am too old. I stopped jumping about 10 years ago when I broke my legs and my arms all the time, well, now I am back in :-).

Another one, hitting the sun.
